"What about Commander Gant?" Tevak asked.

Vadosia looked to Tevak, then to Jaca. "The Compound’s XO?" He asked for confirmation.

"We haven't been able to get close enough to get a decent scan. Hes on the list of possibles. We can probably scan him when we go for our next weekly briefing with Tarmin and Juliana." Jaca replied.

"Tarmin is on the safe list, yes?" The Admiral asked.

Tevak answered before Jaca had the chance. "As an Ullian, he is highly unlikely to be susceptible to this kind of conditioning. That said, I believe he has already been scanned?" Tevak looking to Jaca as he nodded. "One of the reasons we placed him in command of the Compound. The only potential agents out of both Captains and XO's is Julianna. She is half Human and Half Betazoid. We know Betazoids can't be conditioned, but we are not sure on Betazoid hybrids."

A panel on Vadosia's desk started to chirp. He looked to it, and a message flashed across the screen, from someone on Gamma Command. A general status report he had requested on all Starfleet assets in the Gamma quadrant. He skimmed through it, looking for the real reason he had requested the report. He looked to the Betazoid. "Jaca, The Unification has reached the position we wanted it to." He tapped a few keys, starting events in motion. "The probe has been launched from the Ya'Vakt. You better get going. The Runabout is cloaked in a polar orbit, below sensor range. Use transporter code 948 to beam aboard. Once aboard, it will erase itself."

Jaca nodded to Vadosia as he stood up to leave the room. He went to turn around, and realising that he may not see either of these people again, stood to attention, then held out a hand to shake both the Admirals then the Commanders. "Good luck Vadosia, Tevak."

Vadosia took his hand, and held tight. "Thank you Jaca. Good luck to you as well. Though fear luck is all we have. Be safe my friend."

Tevak stood. He held up one and, and split his fingers. "Live Long and Prosper, Jaca Traylor."

"Peace and long life, Tevak." He returned with the Vulcan salute. He nodded once more to both men, then left the room."

Tevak was the first to speak. "Sir, we should carry on with the list."

"Indeed." Vadosia replied. "How many ships are in the Gamma quadrant now? 32?"

"According to Jaca's reports, 35. The Cairo, Pinnacle and the Maketu arrived in the last week. They are captained by Captains Rippell, Terax and Minarla respectively." Tevak replied.

"Terax, I know that name. I've seen him on recent reports."

"He was recently promoted. He was a former XO of New Bajor, the compound, but was transferred out before you took this position. He is now Captain of the Pinnacle."

"Its getting late Tevak, we should sleep. I fear the coming weeks will leave us without rest." The Vulcan opened his mouth to speak, before Vadosia cut him off. "And don't say anything about you Vulcans needing no sleep, even you need to rest from time to time." Jaca should arrive at the rendezvous point in around 12 hours. Ill be here from around 7am, you better be here before I do.” He finished the sentence with a smile.

"Sleep well Vadosia."
